What
Is AMCF?
Mission: To help our member
firms be highly successful in their businesses.
Since 1929 the Association of
Management Consulting Firms (formerly ACME) has fostered
understanding of the profession's scope and purposes, provided
a forum for confronting common challenges, expanded the
knowledge base of member firms and their clients, and championed
a code of professional conduct.
AMCF is the leading international association of firms
engaged in the practice of consulting to management. It
has been in the forefront of promoting excellence and integrity
in the profession. The association promotes better understanding
of the profession with the business community, government,
academia and the general public. AMCF serves as the voice
of the industry on major issues. And, through its varied programs
and services,
AMCF has fostered the development of leadership within
the consulting community.
Just as consultants help clients manage change within their
industries, AMCF helps its members cope with the rapid
changes affecting their practices today. AMCF serves as
a resource for information on the management of a consulting
practice. It provides a forum for the exchange of ideas,
helping consultants to better understand developments within
the profession and to capitalize on new opportunities.
A principal objective of AMCF is to develop and enforce
rigorous membership requirements. Member firms pledge to
uphold a strict Code of Ethics in
order to maintain the highest standards of professional
practice. Membership in AMCF is a recognized mark of experience,
stability, competence and integrity.
